Leadership in Climate Action

In 2023, CDP, a global environmental non-profit organisation, awarded Landsvirkjun the highest score for corporate transparency and performance on climate change action. This is the second consecutive year Landsvirkjun is awarded top scores. In 2021, Landsvirkjun scored an A-, the first company in the country to achieve such excellent scores. The A score puts Landsvirkjun on a Leadership level in climate action worldwide.

CDP supports standardised and professional disclosure on climate issues, rating companies, and stimulating continuous improvements. The disclosure is comprehensive and includes companies’ expansive climate control. In 2023, approximately 23,000 companies submitted disclosure on climate issues to CDP.

Landsvirkjun is one of 346 companies awarded the highest score, securing a place on CDP’s A list.
