The first two stages of Theistareykir geothermal 200 MWe power plant comprises of estimated 15 geothermal production wells, a steam gathering system, a power plant with two 45 MWe high pressure single stage axial exhaust steam turbines and a re-injection system. The services include project management, procurement, contracting and supervising engineering for overall construction work along with budgeting, cost control and reporting.
The investigation of the Theistareykir geothermal area was part of the project Northeast Iceland Geothermal Projects. The project started in 2015 and is planned to be completed early 2018.
